XATIVA, female, Shelter since 08.08.2011 – 47cm
Crossbreed, DOB 01.04.2011
Xativa is very afraid of the world. We don’t know anything about her history, as she was found one morning tied to the Apasa gates. She has built strong bonds with the workers at the shelter but struggles to fight her fears when it comes to meeting new people. Some days she may approach with caution if you give her a biscuit, but other days she will stay away from you. The ideal home for Xativa would be one where the owner understands her and that building a relationship with her could take some time. Perhaps she would be better if there was another dog in the family who she had been introduced to and can take comfort from, as at the moment she lives in a kennel with two other dogs who she gets on very well with. We are sure that with the right person, Xativa can conquer her fears that are results of her past life, and can learn to just be a dog, living a dog’s life.
